ISN'T IT GREAT TO RECEIVE A RAK? - BOTANICALS FOR YOU

Recently I was gifted with, or more commonly known in the crafting world as a RAK (random act of kindness), a Stampin' Up stamp set (Botanicals For You) from a friend.  I was able to play with it this week-end and absolutely love it.  The stamp set is big and bold and this is what I love about it.  Also it has very dainty flowers that can be clustered or used by themselves.

I used my regular ink pads to stamp with but in the future I am considering using embossing powder; I think this will make the cards even bolder.

I've really been enjoying making cards here lately and the creative juices have been flowing so "MOJO" please don't fly out the window just yet.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Weekend - What have I been up to?

Happy weekend everyone.  Thanks for stopping by.  On Friday evening I managed to have some me time; the evening was spent crafting with a wonderful group of ladies at a local craft store Surprise Scrapbook Boutique.  To start off the night there was a green challenge and we had to use a recycled item on our cards.  I made a doily out of a poster for my card.

I also managed to make a few cards using the Tim Holtz stamps "Runway", distressed inks and some stencils.  The crop was a relaxing way to wind down after a busy week.

Note to self......try and make a few more cards next time.🌝

I'M BACK....FIRST PROJECT FOR THE YEAR

It's a new year and I've decided that I should be more committed to the things I'm passionate about.  So therefore I aim to craft more and share it with you.

My first project for the year is a card swap with the theme "Friendship". This is being hosted by Surprise Scrapbook Boutique.  By the way, this is my favourite place to do my crafty shopping and occasionally hang out for a girl's night out to crop.

So I've gone right to the deadline and will be posting my cards tomorrow.  We have crafters from Bermuda, US, Canada and Europe who have joined the swap.  What a way to put Bermuda on the map and unite crafters from around the world

.

Hope you like the cards.  I tried a few techniques.  Let me know which one is your favourite.  Thanks for stopping by.

My First Blog

So finally I took the brakes off and shook away the nerves of starting a blog.   So many questions, what am I going to post, do I post any pics, how do I post the pics?  Well I just jumped into the deep end of the water and here I am with my first post.

Let me introduce myself,  I'm Keeva and live in Bermuda, born and raised.   I'm married for 20 years and have two teenagers. In a few weeks I will be an empty nester, both of the children will be gone.  Mixed emotions, sadness and happiness.  I mainly started this blog so that I can showcase my craftwork.  In the craft world I'm Scrapbook Diva Designs.  I started out scrapboking, but started making cards and now enjoy mixed media and keep an art journal for this.

Well I think I've said enough for now.  Thanks for visiting and come baxk again.
